In 2008, the voters of Loup City overwhelmingly passed the LB840 Economic Development Plan and a half cent sales tax collection to operate the program. The LB840 program is available for new business development and for existing business expansion in and around Loup City Nebraska. It is designed to help stimulate economic growth from within and is tool that can be used to attract new businesses.
