Tax Increment Financing

TIF (Tax Increment Financing)

The Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Program is administered by the Loup City Community Redevelopment Authority (CRA).

The Sherman County Economic Development Board can assist in development of TIF applications.

Up to 95% reimbursement for “TIFable” expenditures

Typical commercial facilities improvement expenditures that are “TIFable” include:

  • Land acquisition
  • Site preparation including demolition, grading, surcharging, special foundations…
  • Off-site and on-site public infrastructure
  • Utility extensions and hook ups
  • Lights
  • Landscaping
  • Parking Improvements
  • Recreational Improvement
  • Sidewalks
  • Some legal

Every project is different.

The TIF Program is operated by the Community Redevelopment Authority of Loup City.
