Loup City is officially 125 years old. With this milestone in mind a small group of individuals, spearheaded by the Loup City Chamber of Commerce, set out to doucument in book form every business in Loup City. We felt it was important to include a short history of churches, government school and landmarks. In researching these areas we found we could locate a fair amount of printed information but it was difficult to get photos to match the information. Many of the photos we obtained were deteriorating with age. With this in mind we have put together this book and have digitally archived all of the historical photos and all of the current photos that were taken of the businesses in Loup City. Our intent is to shed light on our history and to preserve our present. We are very proud of our community and hope this collection will help show the pride we feel and be a tool for more research into our rich past.
